THE CONFERENCE
Since its premiere in 2004, the WISSENSWERTE dialogue forum has developed into the most important science journalism event in the German-speaking world: around 400 science journalists, science communicators, and researchers interested in media attend this conference every year.

The three-day program offers panel discussions with prominent participants, lectures, and workshops on current journalistic and scientific topics. The program is planned in cooperation between the WPK and the Chair of Science Journalism at TU Dortmund University. WISSENSWERTE is supported by the Klaus Tschira Foundation, BASF, the Volkswagen Foundation, the Leibniz Association, and other sponsors.

Planning for the next edition is already in full swing: in 2026, WISSENSWERTE will be held together with the European Conference of Science Journalism (ECSJ) at Herrenhausen Palace in Hanover.
